Eucharistic ministers distribute Holy Communion at Mass. This ministry gives faithful testimony to the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist. Prayerful preparation supported by abiding reverence for the Host is necessary. All ministers must be fully initiated members of the parish community and approved by the pastor.
